Glass Filled PTFE is widely used in gaskets, seals, valve seats, and bushings where structural stability and resistance to aggressive environments are critical.
Glass Filled PTFE is a composite material created by reinforcing PTFE with finely milled glass fibers. This blend results in a significantly more dimensionally stable and rigid product that maintains excellent chemical inertness, thermal stability, and non-stick behavior.
It is ideal for static and semi-dynamic applications that require strength, wear resistance, and high-temperature durability.
- Enhanced compressive strength and hardness
- Excellent wear resistance in static applications
- Good dimensional stability under load
- Maintains chemical and thermal resistance of virgin PTFE
- Minimal water absorption or swelling
